More Beach Time!

Jodie finally dares to rest her big foot on the sand!

Oh yes, isn't that weird? Kids should love to run on the grass and walk the beach. Jodie is the unusual one. She is the lady-like, as what most of her teachers describe her. She doesn't like her classmates to touch her or else she will complain to the teachers. (Duh...isn't it?) I wonder who she inherit such behaviours...

We were at the beach last Sunday with our friends. Their children were busy building sand castles, together with Joselle. Jodie was playing with her bubble gun, alone. Of course she won't last long playing alone, knowing all the other kids were at the beach having fun. She asked me to carry her to the beach and i did. I asked her to join the kids building sandcastles and she shook her head.

I couldn't carry her for too long, so i passed her over to daddy who was sitting at the beach near the kids. She make sure her legs doesn't touch the sands at all. She has her way of doing it and its amazing she can tahan for so long. Daddy soon turns tired too and he managed to convince her to sit on her own slippers but rest both of feet on the sand. Nice. She dint grumbled or wailed at all. But she was sitting there still and asked her sister to bring her the hand rake and fork, etc.

Its a relieved sometimes to see both sisters are helping each other.

Suddenly i noticed Jodie started to stand up and slowly walked on the beach all by herself! OMG, you cannot imagine how thrilled i am to see such a big improvement! I was screaming at her "WOW JODIE! LOOK! YOU ARE WALKING ON THE BEACH!"

Haha. =)

Although my friends told me not to remind her about it, afraid that she might change her mind and started crying again. But i debated back that she should be praised instead. She should know that I am very happy and totally approved of what she is doing and I am very proud of her.

I told Jodie since she can walk on the beach now, i will buy her a full set of beach tools. Awww....i can't wait to bring her back to the beach again..maybe every weekend! =)

This is the way how children should be like on the beach.
